Austen

Austen has always had a deep love of creating and in many mediums. She learned to knit in middle school and picked up hand sewing in high school. While attaining degrees in Scottish History and English Literature at the University of St Andrews, she found herself restoring the costumes of a historic procession that takes places in that town every spring. Austen met her husband while there and taught painting classes during their engagement period. After moving back to Texas and reuniting with Caitlin, she began creating ice skating and renaissance fair costumes for friends and hosting parties with Caitlin. It was for one of these parties, a baby shower, that the first giant flowers were made! Austen loves working closely with her clients, be they friends or someone new, and bringing their vision to life!

Caitlin

Caitlin is a consummate party hostess who truly loves finding any occasion to create an immersive themed experience for her guests, no matter how silly. When it came time to throw her little sister a baby shower, she drew on her years of working on theater sets, passion for crafting and DIY projects, and life long love of finding novel ways to be utterly ridiculous. Excited for any excuse to work with her best friend, and emboldened by overconfidence that with enough time and both of their brains they could figure out how to make anything, she set out to create a full woodland meadow with larger than life paper flowers as a centerpiece. Now, many iterations of flower designs later, she still enjoys getting to craft with her best friend and help give parties a dose of whimsy and magic.
